Lake Huron is a popular vacation spot, particularly Tawas Bay. East Tawas vacation lodgings are plentiful and a great way to enjoy the area.

East Tawas is located in the Tawas Bay area of Michigan. This area is included in the section of Michigan known as the Sunrise Side, and East Tawas is a great place to stay if you want to explore the Sunrise Side region. East Tawas's main draws are the beautiful Tawas Bay, which is located on Lake Huron, and the Tawas Bay Lighthouse, a historic building in use since 1876. This 200,000 candlepower lighthouse has a beacon that can be seen for 16 miles out on Lake Huron. The Tawas Bay has many different beaches where you can relax, swim, boat and hike, as well as being a major point of bird migration, perfect for bird watchers.

For those who prefer the privacy of a cottage atmosphere, but with the amenities of a bed and breakfast, the Chickadee Guest House is available for rent if you are looking to have an extended visit.

East Tawas vacation lodgings are a perfect place to have that family vacation, or even a romantic getaway. With many different vacation lodgings and styles of accommodations to choose from, there is a suitable place for any vacationer in this Lake Huron Midwest paradise. Tawas Bay is a different and less crowded choice for anyone looking to get away from it all.
