Summertime is here again. It is time when we put on our traveling bags and caps-last minute details are being carried out. Making all arrange take much of time except a small issue – travel sickness. 

Most of us know what it is. It is only a small issue but certainly not at that time. Some people are incapacitated by motion sickness making traveling a dreaded experience. 

Motion or travel sickness is a very common disturbance in the inner ear. It is caused by repeated motion such as swell of sea, moving in car on hill roads, in turbulent air etc. Sympten can be vomiting and dizziness. Most of these motion sickness stop when you stop traveling. But some stay for few days.

Dealing with motion sickness is not very complicated. Human body has four way of detecting travel. The inner ears, skin pressure, the muscles and joint sensory receptors. Travel sickness occur when central controlling system receive conflicting signal coming on its way from four channels.

Take an example on traveling in a ship. You are in a room. Your eyes can’t see anything. But your mind tells you that you are having a turbulent time in your traveling. Your mind the central control system detect that your sensor are not coordinating. So you may become travel sick. 

Dealing with ups and down during travel is also part of motion sickness. When traveling your eyes should be fixed at a far distance object which are not moving too fast. In car, sit in the front seat and look at distant scenery. When you are traveling in a bus try to sit in between the two pair of tyres. In airplane sit at wings places. The relative movement are low at these places. So it can cause less problem. 

Study have shown that people who take high quantity of protein before traveling has less number of sickness problem. Eat properly, neither high nor low before traveling.
