Cool and Chilled Winter Air Dry The Skin  ….

Clean and clear glowing unwrinkled fair and smooth skin makes us look beautiful . It is difficult to find one cosmetic which delivers all this. Selection of cosmetics is an important decision and should be taken with keen and clear understanding .   Skin is the largest organ of the body and comprises of cells. Each cell has a life span of 120 days. Skin constantly sheds dead cells and new cells constantly replace them.  

Every seasons bring some changes to the skin , winter specially add discomfort to the skin . In winter, the wind blows you off and the sun smiles rarely. Your skin faces the worst onslaught of chilled wind and sun rays irrespective of the fact that you are covered with warm clothes all the time. Your skin needs handling with a change in the weather a new routine in the skin care has to be followed. The immediate effect of the cold is dry and dull skin.

Ladies who don’t rush to par lour  immediately  but prefers to find the solution at home only for their discomfort. For then in winters , before going for bath the oiling of hands and legs is advised and to this procedure twice in a week . After that scrubbing hands and legs  with a herbal scrub which is the second step to be followed. Take care that your bathwater is not too hot as this tends to dry the skin. Towel dry and massage a good quality moistening lotion on your hands and legs.  Or the alternative to that is sprinkle some aromatic oil on to a loofah   and rub it gently over the hands and legs.

 Elbows and knees as well. They tend to become dry in winters. Whenever you get time rub them vigorously with a lemon peel with teaspoon salt and apply some moistening lotion later. This will make them soft and smooth. To keep your lips healthy and rosy in winter , and to give you the reason to smile . Here are the few steps which will improve its state. The trick is always to keep the lips moist. Use a good quality of lip guard. Even when you don’t want to apply lipstick still use lip-guard to prevent then from getting dry. 

Use glossy, moistening and Vitamin-e enriched lipsticks in winters. Matt lipstick tend to dry the lips, and should be avoided in this season. These days liquid lipsticks and lip glosses are popular and they are especially good when used in winters, also, the most suitable way to apply lipstick would be to first apply Vaseline or lip balm to the lips at least half an hour before you want to put on lipstick. Then blot over the lips with a piece of tissue and then apply the lipstick. This will keep the lips moist and shinning. Include a lot of Vitamin-C  in your diet to combat chapped lips.
