If it is the Salts that your body is wanting consider eating a saltine
cracker instead. It is good to curb the craving and the nausea! Or another
option would be to make a really good chili. Dry beans like kidney and Lima
beans are an excellent source of salt (the good healthy kind that helps for
the cravings), and protein.
What about sugar? This one is probably the most common
craving with
women. Typically a woman will indulge in this wonderful little treat, but
what should also be noted is that after you eat something sweet: You want
more, and more, and more. Chocolate Bars, Ice Cream, Lollipops, there really
is no end to the Candy at the Candy store.
But there are amazing and healthy ways you can replace it. A pear that
has been purchased at the store a few days ago should be just about or
already ripe. When a pear is completely ripe this is when its sugars are at
it’s maximum. This is a great way to
feed the unborn child and quench that
cravings without packing on the pounds as well. Apples are another splendid
way to curb the cravings, get some good fiber in and fulfill you and baby’s
needs.
All around take a moment to find out what it is you are really craving
and what the baby is trying to tell you. When the cravings begin it is your
body running low and telling you to top up. In the long run you, your body,
and baby will all be happier and healthier for your decision to walk to the
Food Market instead of the Candy Market.
